Wayne Burnsworth
LPC
My name is Wayne Burnsworth Jr., and I started my counseling career in 2018. I specialized in the field of Substance Use Disorder treatment to include Gambling Addiction. Before then, I served in the U.S. Army and Law Enforcement with a degree in criminal justice and psychology. After retirement, I went back to school and earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Counseling. I have worked in the community, including court systems, private practices, prisons, jails, treatment centers, which include inpatient treatment centers, and outpatient services. I believe that counseling should be an asset for people to use in order to unlock answers to their problems and find healthy ways to live a successful life. Counseling starts with a conversation that allows people to feel safe and supported when discussing their thoughts and feelings to discover barriers and solutions. I have participated in my own counseling for 22 years while in treatment for my own recovery in mental health and addiction after serving my country. I am here to support anyone open to trying therapy, and I will do my best to help them achieve their goals.Â
