Katie Freeborn
LPCC-S
Katie is a counselor with 12 years of experience helping adults navigate life’s challenges, gain a better understanding of themselves, and create meaningful change. She works with individuals experiencing relationship difficulties, life transitions, marriage and divorce, grief, trauma, career concerns, anxiety, and depression. She also helps those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what comes next.
Katie’s approach is collaborative, warm, compassionate, and curious. She believes counseling is a place to feel heard and understood, but also a place to dig deeper, recognize patterns, challenge old ways of thinking, and begin making changes that help you feel more hopeful, free, and fulfilled. She values working with clients who are ready to challenge themselves to grow in new ways.
Katie also recognizes that faith can be an important source of strength, guidance, and hope. For clients who desire it, she welcomes the opportunity to incorporate Christian faith into the counseling process.Â
Katie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies in 2008 and her Master’s Degree in Counseling in 2014 from Youngstown State University. She is available for sessions online and at the Canfield office.
