Jessica Johnson

Jessica Johnson earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Kent State University and her Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Youngstown State University. She works with adolescents and adults, with special interests in women’s mental health, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, parenting, anxiety, OCD, grief, adolescent concerns, and major life transitions.
Jessica uses a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and believes in meeting people where they are. She may incorporate CBT, mindfulness, attachment-informed and parts- informed approaches, somatic techniques, and nature-based practices. She is LGBTQ+ affirming and strives to create a peaceful, open-minded, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, supported, and understood.
Jessica’s more than 20 years of experience in massage therapy and her background in sound therapy inform her mind-body approach to physical injury, chronic stress, pain, recovery, and nervous-system regulation. Jessica is available in our Canfield office.
